kevin t vu was born in 1982 in ho chi minh city, vietnam. in 1986, weary of the communist regime, his family emigrated the country.
for a period of twelve months, kevin and his family lived in a filipino refugee camp. thereafter, family members residing in the united states sponsored their relocation to california. the family ultimately settled in orange county, california.
kevin received a b.a. in art history and economics at the university of california, irvine. he continued his studies in the united kingdom at the london college of communication, where he graduated with honors and received a masters in photojournalism and documentary photography.
currently, kevin resides in southern california working as an editorial and commercial photographer.
